Tim,

I know you got this working, but I found the answer documented for you. As you guessed, this is an MTU issue. With the Enternet software they do supply a way of setting the MaxFrameSize. Once a user sets the MaxFrameSize

on the PPPoE Adapter the VPN Client will work (SetMTU does not work with PPPoE). We have found that the MaxFrameSize setting that works with the VPN Client can vary from 1200 to 1400. This is documented in the 3.5 client on how to change the settings. You can refer to the 3.5 Release Notes
for more information. They are available at http://www.cisco.com/univercd/cc/td/doc/product/vpn/client/rel_3_5/3kclient. pdf
The information you are looking for is on pages 15-19. How to perform this task
is also given for Enternet, WinPoet, and RasPPPoE.

Best of Luck,
Mark-David McLaughlin

Thanks for the responses, I got some good suggestions that pointed me in the right direction. Turns out that using the "Set MTU" utility in the Cisco VPN Dialer program group does the trick. I have not found the threshold yet but 1265 works, and 1365 is too high.
